Ingredients
For the dough:
2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
2 tsp instant yeast
2 tbsp softened butter
¾ cup warm milk
¼ cup warm water
For the creamy cheese topping:
1 cup shredded mozzarella
½ cup shredded cheddar
2 tbsp mayonnaise
2 tbsp softened cream cheese
1 egg
Pinch of salt

- Make the dough
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, and instant yeast.
- Add warm milk, warm water, and butter.
- Knead for 7–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Cover and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled.
- Shape the buns
- Punch down the dough and divide into 8 equal balls.
- Place on a greased baking tray.
- Cover and let rise again for 30 minutes.
- Make the cheese topping
- Mix mozzarella, cheddar, mayonnaise, cream cheese, egg, and a little salt.
- Stir until creamy and spreadable.
- Assemble
- Spoon the cheese mixture generously over the top of each dough ball.
- Spread evenly to coat the surface.
- Bake
Bake in a preheated oven at 190°C (375°F) for 18–22 minutes, until golden and bubbly on top.
